What Hydro Jetting Is
Hydro jetting is drain cleaning with high-pressure water instead of a metal cable. A specialized hose feeds a nozzle down the line, and the nozzle sprays water at up to several thousand pounds of pressure in multiple directions at once.
The rear-facing jets pull the nozzle through the pipe and blast buildup off the walls as it goes. The forward jets cut through the clog ahead of it. What comes out is a pipe scoured clean around its full diameter, not just a channel poked through the middle of the gunk.
The pressure and the nozzle get matched to the line. A small branch drain and a main sewer take different heads and different flow, so the cleaning is tuned to the pipe rather than forced on it. Because jetting moves a real volume of water, it does not just break the buildup loose. It flushes the debris down the line and out, so what the jets cut free does not settle a few feet along and start the next clog.
